QotD: Run Away

  • Sep 24, 2009
  • Post a comment

Did you ever run away from home?

Not only did I have no reason to, but I knew it would have been both cruel and stupid.

So no, but look - I am enjoying some rather nice pizza on my too-little-sleep day.

QotD: Touch-Screen Pros & Cons

  • Sep 17, 2009
  • Post a comment

How could touch–screen technology enhance the way you currently use your PC? How could it make things worse?

It could for those of us who don't want fingerprints all over our screens.

And while I've got your attention, let me tell you about lunch.  I've been forced to scrabble through the cupboards today, but unlike Old Mother Hubbard [any relation to L Ron?, Ed.] I've found the following:

One baking potato

One piece of haddock in breadcrumbs

some past their prime and thin on the ground salad ingredients.  Still, it's better than getting dressed and going to the local shop for some long-life bread.

Does anyone remember / or know...?

  • Sep 14, 2009

A while back - maybe two or three years - there was a small feature in what was probably the Guardian or Independent weekend magazines on designer wardrobe doors.  I recall that they were predominantly black but also colourful, and were made of resin or some similar substance, and that they were really tall and striking.

I tried to keep the cutting, but clearly not well enough...

Have you any recollection of this kind of thing?  or do you know where something like this could be made?

Thanks.

QotD: Planning My Financial Future

  • Sep 10, 2009
  • Post a comment

How are you financially planning for your future?
Presented by Intel, Sponsors of Tomorrow.

Well that depends on whether you take the view that the entire world appears to be conspiring against me, or whether in fact I'll end up with a very nice settee in a few months time.

Opaque enough?

QotD: Brains, Beauty or Bravery?

  • Sep 4, 2009

Would you rather have more brains, more beauty, or more bravery?

Brains.  In particular, I'd like to have a better memory.
