The maths

evidently running is the best way to eat the calories up and then cycling is the next best thing - I'm a fair weather cyclist who only cycles around town so am not very well placed to advise you, but my very active husband reckons that 30 mins a day (with hills) kept him trim.
Although I have no authority on this but I think you should do something you actually enjoy - may be play a sport like badminton with a friend? or go swimming?
See uragod2me's trick - it clearly works!
I finished a 33 minute cycle just now - in front of the TV. I burned 300 calories, which was the bulk of my tea, so I have reason to be smug. My favourite forms of exercise are indeed swimming and badminton, but I never get around to either (too much prep). At least with the jogging/walking to the local park once a week (which gives me a great high but takes me 4 days to recover) and the exercise bike in my living room the only thing left to battle is my laziness. I'd better weigh less now tomorrow morning...

I wish sitting on my bum was exercise. Couldn't I just waggle my toes?
Walking is good. When I commuted from South London I was walking for 45 minutes a day and that was enough to keep me fit (of course, it all went to pot when I moved to a place with better transport links and only had a 5 minute walk to and from a bus stop). Why not buy a pedometer?

Does Mr McKenna do a Mind warping CD that will encourage you to exercise? There people hereabouts who swear by his spooky powers;)
What's the weighing status today?
You had to ask. Pretty much the same given that I had pasta for lunch yesterday. I reckon it'll have gone down for tomorrow.
